Here we have a very interesting and underappreciated uniform from the former DDR. These Red Cross utilities are built to withstand years of use. There are several distinct models spanning the 1960's to 1980's.
This Female version n of the DRK jacket has buttons under the collar for attaching a hood with drawstring. It is sold separately here:
Models from early to late production:
- 100% cotton, gray, 2-upper faux pockets, 2-lower patch pockets, No sleeve insignia.
- Same as 1 but with added DRK sleeve insignia. These are mostly hand sewn because they were added post-production. The sleeve patch replaced an earlier removeable armband.
- Poly-cotton blend fabric, blue-gray, 2-upper faux pockets, 2-lower patch pockets, machine-sewn sleeve insignia.
- Same as 3 but without the upper faux pockets.
